Campaign planning
How should you brief ChatGPT for a marketing campaign?

Short answer
Give ChatGPT a campaign brief with your product or service, audience, offer, approved proof, brand voice, constraints and intended next step. Ask for the asset sequence before drafting individual pieces, then review every claim and hand-off. Consider The Marketing Vault if you'd rather save that Business Context and work through built-in marketing workflows with campaign organization and exports.
What belongs in the campaign brief?
- Business and offer: what you sell, the price, included items and actual delivery terms.
- Audience: intended buyer, needs and objections supported by your own customer evidence.
- Proof: approved testimonials and measured results with their sources. Mark unknowns instead of asking the AI to fill them in.
- Voice and rules: writing examples, banned phrases and claims you must not make.
- Campaign destination: the page, checkout, signup or call-booking action, and the channels you'll use.
What should you ask for first?
Ask for an asset plan that maps the ad, page and follow-up to the same offer and next step. Review that plan before generating the copy. This is an editorial recommendation, not a measured promise about either tool's results.
Draft each asset against the same brief. When you change the offer, update the other pieces and check them again. Keep approved versions somewhere your team can find them.
When is ChatGPT the sensible choice?
Use a general assistant when the work is exploratory, crosses several functions or needs a process you want to design yourself. Occasional copy tasks may not justify another subscription. ChatGPT can be used for marketing; the choice is how you want to organize and review the work.
When might the Vault fit better?
The Marketing Vault stores Business Context and provides guided marketing workflows, campaign grouping and editable exports. Consider it when offers, funnel copy, ads, webinars and email follow-up are recurring work and you'd prefer the built-in process.
Publisher's review describes bringing strategy, offers, funnels, emails, sales and content together. It's an individual account of the workflow, not evidence that every campaign succeeds or that another product lacks those capabilities.
What needs a human check in either tool?
- Confirm every number, testimonial, product claim and guarantee against the source.
- Check that the ad, page and email sequence use the same price and conditions.
- Remove invented deadlines, scarcity or customer research.
- Test the real links, checkout and email delivery in the services you'll use to launch.

Questions & answers
Does ChatGPT need every detail pasted into every message?
Not necessarily. Context features and your own process can help retain a brief. Check the features and limits of your current plan rather than assuming every chat starts from scratch.
Does Verified Facts remove the need to check copy?
No. It instructs the AI to use supplied evidence and flag gaps. You still need to review the output and verify claims.
